Eligibility: Professionals with hands-on experience in DevOps/SaaS/Cloud environments, technical pre-sales, and programming/scripting knowledge (Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, PHP, .NET, etc.), who can manage enterprise-level technical sales engagements.

Role Overview:

As an Enterprise Sales Engineer at Datadog, you will own the technical engagement throughout the sales cycle by leading presentations, product demos, and proof-of-value (POV) evaluations. You will partner with the sales team to position Datadog’s value, resolve complex customer challenges, and drive enterprise adoption. This role requires strong technical credibility, customer engagement skills, and the ability to translate observability capabilities into business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with sales teams to deliver Datadog’s value proposition and vision to enterprise customers.
  • Own technical engagement during the trial/POV phase, ensuring successful adoption.
  • Lead technical closing of complex enterprise opportunities.
  • Deliver impactful technical briefings, demos, and presentations.
  • Capture and document customer feedback, competitive insights, and deal outcomes in CRM.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address customer needs and provide product feedback.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Sales Engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to engage enterprise-level clients.
  • Hands-on programming/scripting knowledge in Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, PHP, .NET, etc.
  • Passionate about educating customers on observability risks and building adoption strategies.
  • Ability to travel up to 45% (auto, train, or air).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex sales cycles.
