• 8+ years of engineering experience in a product-based SaaS company
• Prior experience transitioning from an individual contributor to senior engineering leadership

Role Overview

As the Director of Engineering, you will lead and scale high-performing engineering teams while aligning technology strategy with company and product goals. You will partner closely with product, design, and people teams to drive product-led growth, ensure operational excellence, and build a strong engineering culture. This role demands technical depth, strategic thinking, and strong people leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams to deliver projects reliably and on time, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders
• Define and drive technology strategy aligned with business and company objectives
• Partner with product teams to analyze product adoption, user impact, and influence product roadmap decisions
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle, ensuring high quality and scalability
• Conduct usability testing and incorporate user feedback to continuously refine the product
• Collaborate with other Directors of Engineering and Engineering Managers to strengthen engineering operations
• Partner with the People team to attract, hire, develop, and retain top engineering talent
• Scale engineering teams while fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and excellence

Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise:

• Hands-on experience with React, React Native, Node.js, and GraphQL
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, and Redis
• Solid understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure
• Strong understanding of platform, data, and cloud security principles and compliance
• Proven experience managing, recruiting, and scaling engineering teams
• Ability to set strategic direction and oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle in a SaaS environment
• Experience influencing product-led growth through data-driven insights
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset with end-to-end ownership mentality
• Collaborative approach across engineering, product, and design teams
