Role Overview

The Infrastructure and Operations Project Manager is a strategic role responsible for planning, executing, and ensuring the operational success of global IT infrastructure initiatives. This role manages a portfolio of complex, cross-functional programs—ensuring timely, within-scope, and cost-effective delivery. You will collaborate closely with technical and business teams to maintain operational excellence across infrastructure environments.

This position is part of the Global IT Infrastructure & Operations team at Cepheid, contributing to the company’s vision of delivering seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Management

• Lead end-to-end execution of multiple IT infrastructure projects including data center migrations, cloud platform implementations, IAM programs, EUC upgrades, and network modernization.
• Ensure alignment with business goals, timelines, scope, and budget.

Strategic Planning

• Develop and maintain long-term strategic roadmaps for the IT infrastructure and operations domain.
• Align infrastructure plans with evolving business needs and technology trends.

Budget & Financial Management

• Define, monitor, and control program budgets.
• Optimize resource allocation and ensure cost-effectiveness of IT investments.

Risk & Issue Management

• Identify operational and project risks; implement mitigation strategies.
• Monitor issues and drive resolution across functional teams.

Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• Strong understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with servers (Windows/Linux), virtualization, networking, and data center operations
• Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, MS Project, Confluence)
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strategic mindset with capability to influence senior stakeholders
• PMP, PgMP, ITIL
