Job Title: Lead - IT Data Engineering and Analytics

Role Overview:

The Tech Lead – Data Engineering will lead and mentor the Data team to build and optimize real-time, event-driven data systems that empower StoneX’s business units with high-quality, reliable data. The role focuses on Master Data Management (MDM), efficient data ingestion, and advanced engineering techniques to enhance data accessibility, quality, and usability across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead data engineering projects focused on ingestion, mastering, and real-time data delivery.
• Define team deliverables, scope, and KPIs; ensure technical and business alignment.
• Implement Master Data Management (MDM) strategies and high-performance data solutions.
• Monitor and enhance data infrastructure performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Establish best practices, documentation standards, and process automation.
• Mentor and coach data engineers; foster a culture of learning and ownership.
• Participate in long-term data strategy and operational efficiency planning.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 8+ years in Data Architecture / Management; 3+ years in Data Engineering or Software Development (preferably in capital markets / trading).
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, data modeling, and design patterns.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one OOP language (C# / Java).
• Experience with SQL databases (MSSQL, Postgres, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra).
• Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization.
