Job Title: Mid Market Sales Engineer

Years of Exp: 4–8 years (with prior pre-sales / solution engineering experience in DevOps / Cloud / SaaS products)

Location: Bengaluru, India (Hybrid)

Role Type: Full-Time Role

Eligibility: Professionals with experience in DevOps monitoring, cloud architecture tools, or system administration (Linux/Windows), with strong pre-sales presentation and client engagement skills.

Role Overview:

As a Sales Engineer at Datadog, you will partner with the sales team to qualify opportunities, deliver impactful product demos, support technical evaluations, and ensure client success during the pre-sales cycle. You will act as a trusted technical advisor—bridging customer needs with Datadog’s solutions while collaborating closely with product, sales, and engineering teams to drive adoption and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the sales team to articulate Datadog’s value proposition and strategy.
  • Deliver technical presentations, demos, and proof-of-concepts to prospective customers.
  • Assist clients with product onboarding and resolve technical roadblocks.
  • Maintain a direct communication line with the product team for feature requests and feedback.
  • Provide technical expertise to help qualify and close new business opportunities.
  • Think creatively to address diverse technical challenges during the pre-sales lifecycle.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of DevOps monitoring or cloud architecture tools.
  • Previous experience in system administration (Linux and/or Windows).
  • Proven ability to deliver technical presentations and demos to external clients or internal stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (auto, train, or air).
  • Passion for technology with a continuous learning mindset.
