Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and security-conscious Node.js Developer to join our engineering team. This role focuses on identifying, assessing, and remediating open-source security vulnerabilities in both internal applications and third-party components. Key Responsibilities:

• Recommend and implement code changes to resolve identified open-source security vulnerabilities
• Conduct security reviews on internal applications for vulnerabilities and adherence to coding best practices
• Review third-party and open-source libraries for security issues and guide safe integration
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Security teams to reduce software security risks
• Maintain thorough documentation of vulnerabilities, remediation actions, and progress
• Contribute to building secure CI/CD pipelines and development practices

Skills and Qualifications:

Must-Have:

• 3+ years of software development experience
• Expertise in Node.js development
• Strong knowledge of open-source security principles and vulnerability management
• Familiarity with Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE)
• Experience using build tools (Make, Maven, Gradle, Bazel, ANT)
• Proficiency with package managers like NPM, Maven, PIP
• Hands-on experience with Git, GitHub/Gerrit workflows
• Understanding of CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI)
• Strong ability to communicate technical security concepts to non-security stakeholders

Value-Add Skills:

• Proficiency in other programming languages: Golang, Python, Java, C++, JavaScript
• Experience in microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Exposure to developing and deploying secure code in production
• Ability to work independently and across global teams
• Experience prioritizing tasks and delivering with minimal oversight
